Promoting Independence

We offer a supportive structure enabling young people to access appropriate education and extensive life skills programmes, individually tailored for young people in our accommodations. Our approach ensures that every young person here has the opportunity to enjoy learning, achieve their goals, and maximize their potential. We assist young people in accessing education through local schools, colleges, or training centers, and offer supervised computer access and homework support. Our dedicated staff also coordinate practical learning activities, such as cooking groups, budgeting, and meal planning, as well as mock interviews for those preparing for work or college. We have created a comprehensive ‘Preparing for Adulthood and Independent Living’ course booklet which covers all aspects of managing a home safely and is used regularly during key working sessions. We prioritize sourcing appropriate education provisions even for young people who arrive without an identified education plan.
